The Medway Mile 2012 and Olympic Opening Ceremony Big Screening

The Medway Mile is Medway's signature countdown event to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The mass participation fun run attracts thousands of joggers and walkers of every age, size and ability, all coming together to celebrate the annual countdown to the start of the Games on 27 July 2012.
This year's spectacular event will take place during the evening of Friday, 27 July in Rochester Castle Gardens. Thousands of people are expected to once again take part in the children's, adult and mass family race around Rochester.
The Castle Gardens will then be transformed into an official London 2012 Community Live Site, complete with a big screen for everyone to watch the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Games together to celebrate the arrival of the Games in London.
The night will end with a spectacular finale to celebrate the opening of the London 2012 Games.
The Medway Mile is free to enter and every participant receives a free t-shirt. It is open to runners and walkers of any age or ability and also includes a raft of free activities for all ages.
