Rebellion at Upnor Castle on 5 & 6 June, normal admission charges apply.

Step back in time to see how Upnor was used during the Kentish uprising of 1648 when the people of Kent rose up against the rule of the Army and Parliament. Re-enactors will portray the Kentish rebels preparing for war. Throughout the day soldiers will be drilling and making bullets, while the gentry make their plans to resist the New Model Army.

Visitors will also be able to see displays featuring armour, weapons and artefacts from the period and information on the English Civil wars. Phone 01634 338141.
