The man behind the hit BBC series Who Do You Think You Are is heading to Chatham to discuss how the media has helped with the search to learn about our ancestors.
Historian Dr Nick Barratt’s talk Family History and the Media, will examine how personal heritage can be traced in the digital age by the internet and television.
He will also talk about how Who Do You Think You Are, which helps well-known personalities trace their family tree, is put together, and how it can help viewers trace their own genealogy.
The talk will take place on Tuesday, 20 April at Chatham Library. The event begins at 7.30pm and costs £5, or £4 for Friends’ of Medway Archives members.
