More than one million people use Medway’s greenspaces each year.

Greenspace Services manages 1,900 hectares of land, which is 10 times the size of Monaco. This includes 48 countryside sites, three country parks, 28 allotment sites, 84 play areas, 28 parks.

It supports learning and recreation for more than 40,000 people every year through organised school visits, horticultural training and events; and conserves natural habitats for many protected species, including: orchids, nightingales, water voles, seals and adders.
